Welcome to Wheatmore High School Bands



Wheatmore High School is a new school settled in the northern part of Randolph County NC. Surrounded by rolling hills and a rural area Wheatmore High School has a beautiful campus an plenty of room to grow. Students involved in the Band Department of Wheatmore High School are offered classes such as Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Music Appreciation(Online) and AP Music Theory (Online).

Drumline Auditions for the 2012 Seasons will be Monday and Tuesday, April 30 and May 1, from 5:30-8 each day. Make sure you have the drumline packet and have looked over it before the auditions! Click Here for the packet.

Wheatmore Band Hosts 2nd Annual Talent Show

Second Annual Talent Show Winners

Wheatmore High School hosted its second annual Talent Show on Friday, March 2, 2012. Shown here are First Place Winner Alexandra, who sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from the Broadway show “Les Miserables;” Elizabeth, who won second place for her performance of “100 Easy Ways to Lose a Man from “Wonderful Town;” and third place winners Cole and Kristine, who performed as Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash singing their famous duet, “Jackson.” Cole and Kristine also served as emcees for the show, which was sponsored by the Band Boosters. Judges were Charles R. Cronham, Joseph P. Gamble, and Kelly Newman. The next fundraiser for the band program will be the second annual Ride for the Band on April 21, 10:00 am - 1 pm. Motorcyclists who are interested in riding must pre-register by emailing WarriorBandRide@gmail.com before April 15. Non-riders are invited to come out to enjoy Lunch, Entertainment, and a Bazaar selling homemade baked goods and craft items.

WHS is now offering private lessons to WHS, ATMS, THS, and BC Students. Lessons are only $5/30 Min and are given by a UNCG Music Education Student. Click the link to register!
